Old Blue - a story in text
the sun shone and the birds did sing,
old blue rested like a dying king,
down on the river, just by the bank,
where one dark night the old boy had sank.
but soon it would be different nothing the same,
for a princess to his rescue she came,
she fixed him up she fixed him well,
that he'd been down and out you'd never tell.
and now he sits proud as he once had,
to end this story happy not sad.
Old Blue, little green, & the big hearted boy - a story in text
a boy sits by the river near old blue,
he's fallen for a princess but knows not what to do.
he's a simple boy with a very big heart,
but with her he doesn't quite know where to start.
he wants so much but feels so small,
he's not sure she notices him at all!
follow your heart little green says just do,
you have to take a chance chips in old blue.
life is short, we're sure she'll soon realise,
the chance to be happy is right before her eyes,
so what happens next, how does it end?
well that's a story for another day, my old friend.
the lion, the witch & the boatyard - a story in text
down in the boatyard sits little green and old blue,
it's a very sunny day with absolutely nothing to do.
they sit and they talk and while the day away,
with everything and nothing in particular to say.
when suddenly interrupted by a screech so loud,
a bang and a crash that drew a small crowd.
a lion and a witch before them stood,
a stand-off between them that could end in no good.
in a flash of light the lion lay dead,
with a very big hole in the side of his head.
and on that note little green did turn,
and up stood old blue fire in his eyes did burn.
and smite down that witch with all of their might,
even with two against one it wasn't an easy fight.
but as the day drew old, the battle went on ,
until the witch was struck down and victory was won.
little green and old blue had settled a score,
and as dawn arose, the boatyard was quiet once more.
Little Green - a story in text
little green the river queen,
the likes of which you've never seen.
she can take a bow, she can be quite stern,
but she has that something that makes heads turn.
she sits so pretty upon the quay,
on sunny days the crowd flocks to see,
her grace the world her sing so loud,
making all who know her feel so proud.
as night time falls and dawn draws near,
it's her sweet voice that you will hear,
and the tide will come and the tide will flow,
she's the river queen don't you know!
Little Green and the Princess - a story in text
as little green sings she hears a princess cry,
she thinks to herself I wonder why?
she asks the princess what's the matter dear,
it's horrible comes the reply I live in fear.
an ogre keeps me locked away, he blackens my heart,
I'm so unhappy I don't know where to start.
don't worry says little green we'll see what we can do,
to break you away and make a life for you.
and on that note she began to sing a song,
a song so sweet it could undo any wrong.
upon hearing her voice the ogre's spell was broken,
without a single harsh word needing to be spoken.
and now the princess she is free to smile,
something she hasn't done in a long long while.
Another chapter for old blue - a story in text
Old blue sits empty and alone,
A price on his head, a number to phone.
And he feels a little down and a whole lot sad,
And he feels like he might go just a little mad.
Life isn't where he thought it would be,
His heart a little broken, worn on his sleeve for all to see.
What once seemed such joy is now just pain,
A tear rolls down his berth half hidden by the rain.
But another dawn beckons, life goes on tis true,
And another chapter will begin for big ol' blue.
And so he quietly smiles, a smile he will hold,
And wait for the next chapter to unfold.
